UK ISP SAQ Touts New 24Mbps and 96Mbps Broadband Packages

Posted on 05:23 by Unknown
UK ISP SAQ has revamped its website and launched a new range of broadband services, which includes a bonded ADSL2+ package that can reach speeds of up to 96Mbps (4Mbps upstream) with unlimited downloads. Typically the package doesn't come cheap and will set you back £159.99 per month (£1190 setup), though 24Mbps residential options start at just £9.99.

SAQ Statement to ISPreview:

SAQ is one of the longest established ISPs in the UK (founded in 1996) and remains focused on offering to its customers the core Internet requirements of Service Access and Quality. The company is a bit traditional in its ethics, since it only has humans answering the phone although (until the development of a functional AI) the company prefers to view this as offering a first class, customer focused service.

We have recently introduced a range of next-generation broadband products for both business and residential customers. Download speeds for the new services range from up-to 24mbps for standard home and business connections and up-to 96mbps using our unique MultiBand service. These new services are backed by the usual excellent levels of customer support and a robust network.

Finally, doing business with SAQ is very straightforward, there are no hidden charges or "funny" contract clauses, just fast and reliable connections at reasonable prices.

The cheapest £9.99 per month 24Mbps (1Mbps uploads) residential package comes with a 2GB usage allowance, 3 (£44.99 setup) or 12 (£29.99 setup) month contract options, two pop3 emails, a dynamic IP, free inbound migration and more. The wireless router costs extra (from £14.99).

Typically bonded business broadband services require several phones lines (e.g. four lines for the 96Mbps package) to operate and special routers to manage them. The top service claims to offer unlimited downloads, although '200GB LIMIT' is mentioned in the name and it is not immediately clear whether this is a usage restriction.
